Moon Gate Cottage has been here since 1942.
You enter through a circular gate. We dotted both sides with marbles and rope lighting comes on at night to bring it to life.
Inside, we chose everything to feel as if it could have belonged here for 80 years. The vintage green bedroom walls, the spindle iron bed, the stenciled wood floors, the checkerboard kitchen floor and farmhouse sink. Even the Fiesta dishes in the cupboard.
We close the cottages several times a year to maintain and improve them properly. Our newest project is a pergola by Moon Gate Cottage. A Cecil Brunner rose has been planted to climb it.
